Great little chair for my work on the side of my truck. My weight is about 260, and I am 6’6″ , and this little thing supports me well. I use it as a chair, and it supports me well. My weight does not really kill it. I should admit that it is easy to transform it from the creeper mode to the chair. It worked just fine. The only thing I didn’t like was that it did not reach the floor closely, and that is why I used the jack stands. As for the rest, this toll is amazing, so is its price. This is the best creeper seat I have even had. It has large wheels, and so it glides easily even on the rough surface. The adjustable and comfortable seat is great. I should say that the tool tray is bigger than it is mentioned on the box (well, they indicate the size of it in the unassembled position in the box). I saw negative reviews about it, but I got it anyway. And now I can say that they are all wrong. This is a nice creeper seat. It has a rigid design and is well thought out. I looked for a solid thing to lay and sit on it during the work on my car because I am 380 lbs, and 6’6″. The price was rather affordable to me, and I got this one. It took me about 30 minutes to put it together. I used it for several time, and I like this purchase. Its seat is comfortable and steady. I definitely recommend this item to people who need a heavy duty seat. It was easy to assemble it, and its work is fine. I got it for my work on the lower part of the truck. So I needed this one but taller, and all other chairs were inferior to mine. And so I got another one as it was high quality. I think that I will install some extensions for the legs of the chair, and so I will have the needed height. And the mechanics seat is actually comfortable. This is the best option for me. You should definitely get this one because it has comfortable seat, adjustable height, and quality wheels. Consider this option! Well, they say that chairs do not last long in my shop, the wheels are flimsy, the seat pads split, cylinder stops cylindering up and down, and it just falls apart. What should you know before buying it?

Inspired by the article, I’m wondering what the people thinks of creeper seats. I’ve had a couple of cheap ones, but being a bigger guy, they don’t last very long. I love being able to sit and roll around, and having a tray for tools is a must. Big wheels to roll over small rocks, zip ties, etc would be great. Adjustable height is nice, but not needed.
I’ve had this one for years and have been happy with it. Zoro has them for $99. The only issue is that the way that the seat is formed it tends to push you forward. The fix that I came up with was to shim the front of the seat up about one inch and use longer bolts.
I have the harbor Freight one that looks a lot like this one, but it had some problems and I had to mod it. I replaced the plywood in the seat with some stouter plywood, put some thicker foam for padding, then covered it with some black upholstery vinyl. Then I upgraded the casters with some much nicer ones. Luckily I had all the upgrade materials on hand, otherwise you would be better off just buying a better one to begin with.
